The Village of Windsor supplements its law enforcement coverage by contracting for four additional full-time deputies. The deputies work varying hours and shifts.
In late 2025, the Village of Windsor, the Deforest Area School District and the Sheriff's Office entered an agreement to also employ a School Resource Officer. This Deputy will spend at least four consecutive hours at the schools, and when not in the schools will patrol in the Village of Windsor.
