Madison Man Arrested for 8th OWI

A Dane County Sheriff’s deputy arrested a Madison man on Tuesday for his 8th OWI, a felony offense.
Around 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd, the deputy pulled over a Ford van on Alverarez Avenue in Blooming Grove. The vehicle was registered to a driver whose license had been revoked. Gerald M. Parks, 68, of Madison, was found to be under the influence and in violation of a court-ordered interlock ignition device (IID). 
Parks was arrested and booked into the Dane County Jail on the tentative felony charge of OWI – 8th offense, in addition to receiving citations for operating while revoked, failure to install an IID, and a probation violation.
