Fatal Traffic Crash

At 10:12 am today, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to U.S. Highway 14 and Oak Hill Road in the town of Rutland for a single-vehicle crash.
A 2016 Ford F-150 was traveling southbound when it appeared the driver lost control, rolled the pickup, and hit a tree. The 55-year-old male driver and sole occupant was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. 
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash. The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the driver’s identity at its discretion.
